What to pack in your backpack

• Comfortable hiking boots/shoes.
• Large water bottle.
• Wear brightly colored clothing to increase the visibility of the pilgrim/hiker – this is especially recommended during hunting season, as many of the areas along the route are subject to hunting activities.
• The Cammino app downloaded and installed on your smartphone – also consider downloading the route tracks you intend to plan and follow.
• The maps or GPS/KML tracks of the routes (downloadable from the Fondazione Cammino Minerario di Santa Barbara website) can also be downloaded from here for those who wish to use their own devices independently.
• Trekking pole/poles (not essential).
• Cap or hat to protect from the sun.
• Poncho/rain cape, preferably with backpack cover, in case of rain.
• First aid kit.
• Tick and general insect repellent spray.
• This guide in digital format (not necessary but useful and practical).
