Former Montevecchio Guesthouse - Mineralogical Museum - Dellacà Diorama Collection

Former Montevecchio guesthouse on the right of the SP 65 towards Costa Verde

The Foresteria dates back to 1930 and was once the lodgings of bachelor engineers. Today, it houses the Montevecchio Mine Mineral Museum (Arbus) and the Diorama Museum on the History of Mining through the Ages (Professor Enrico Dellacà Collection). The Professor Enrico Dellacà Diorama Collection includes a series of dioramas that reproduce in miniature scenes of life and work inside the mines in different historical periods. An educational journey that stimulates curiosity and imagination, engaging adults and children alike. The Mineral Museum, on the other hand, exhibits a vast collection of samples from the Montevecchio and Ingurtosu mines, from other sites in Sardinia and from around the world, also enriched by fossils and rare geological formations .
