#THE MACC MUSEUM is a cultural institution founded in 2000 from the spontaneous initiative of the artist Ermanno Leinardi (Pontedera, 1933 – Calasetta, 2006), in collaboration with the Municipal Administration of Calasetta. The Museum documents and exhibits a collection of works created by the artist that reflects his tastes, intentions, but above all a great network of friendships consolidated in the art world due to bonds of esteem materialized in the works now belonging to the museum.
#THE COLLECTION All trends of abstract art, from lyrical and informal abstraction to geometric abstraction, are represented by illustrious authors who have marked national and international contemporary art. From the masters of the Thirties (Josef Albers, Mario Radice, Carla Badiali), to the adherents of the Concrete Art Movement of the Fifties (Atanasio Soldati, Luigi Veronesi), from the range of groups and collectives involved in the field of Cine-Visual art of the Sixties and Seventies (Bruno Munari, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Lucio Fontana, Ermanno Leinardi and many others), to the group of Sardinian experimenters (Antonio Atza, Giovanni Campus, Rosanna Rossi, Vincenzo Satta, Italo Utzeri, Gaetano Brundu, Zaza Calzia).
