Stage 28 – from Capo Sandalo-Becco to Carloforte-Portoscuso

Another new stage, which at the end of the day takes us back by sea to the main island after crossing the southern part of San Pietro. We'll cross Monte Sepoltura amidst Mediterranean scrub, walk between the beach and the La Caletta dune, and discover the island's interior of cultivated fields or untouched nature, eventually reaching the only flat areas of the Sulcis island and the wetlands that precede our return to Carloforte, with the environmental and productive jewel of the ancient salt pans. It's the perfect way to conclude an engaging two-day journey between the western and eastern tips of San Pietro, step by step under the sky, among volcanic rocks, the emerald clarity of the sea, and the caruggi of the old town centre.
