Path Description
The barite quarries and numerous archaeological sites (the Domus de janas of Su Cungiau de Tuttui, the Nuraghi Moddizzi, Murrecci, and Corongius Longus) are the defining features of this stage.
A lush vegetation cover, with beautiful specimens of juniper, blankets the hills overlooking the town center of Masainas.
From time to time, openings in the landscape offer panoramic views stretching all the way to the sea.
The climb at the beginning of the route, from the Is Zuddas caves (102 m a.s.l.) up to the saddle of Monte Moddizzi (374 m a.s.l.), is quite challenging and must be overcome right away.
