Path Description
This route is a recommended alternative to reach Case Marganai. It starts from the equipped area of Mamenga, taking trail 320 to the right (marked in red and white and with the yellow CMSB tags), which climbs through the forest on a path that runs parallel to the road and is half a kilometer longer.
NOTE: To go through the Grotta di San Giovanni, you must go to the north entrance, ring the bell, and identify yourself as a CMSB pilgrim. An attendant will come to let you in. The cave is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and there is an entrance fee of 5 euros. Alternatively, there is a route that passes outside the cave.
