Path Description
WARNING: In case of strong winds and high seas, it is recommended to take the inland route, which does not pass along the beach and leads directly to the Posada di Pitzinurri.
This is a fairly long stage that presents challenges due to several uphill sections and the last 6 km, which are sandy and rocky and require your full attention.
At the junction for Scivu, you can continue on the inland variant, which allows you to avoid the beach and leads directly to the Posada di Pitzinurri.
Here, you will encounter the characteristic morphology of large boulders and tafoni, typical of the granite rocks in this area.
But what stands out most is the majesty of the dune system of Scivu-Piscinas, which suddenly appears after the lookout saddle at Capo Pecora. Please note that a large section of Piscinas beach hosts one of the largest naturist areas in Europe.
Please note that for accommodation, the Scioppadroxiu campsite is located 3 km before the end of the stage. This is a non-affiliated facility and is open only during certain times of the year. Alternatively, the Posada di Pitzinurri (managed by the foundation) is about 8 km further along the next stage. There is no public transport in Piscinas, so you will need to use a private transfer service
to get around.
