Path Description
WARNING: This is a challenging stage that we recommend NOT to combine with the previous one. You need to bring all the necessary water with you (at least 3 liters per person) to complete the stage, and it is essential to have the app installed on your phone with offline maps downloaded (contact us if you don't know how to do this), as in many areas there is no cell phone reception.
This is one of the most demanding stages of the Cammino, especially due to the elevation changes.
The effort is rewarded by the extraordinary beauty of the coastal landscape and the richness of the geological heritage:
in the Canal Grande area, you can see fossil remains of some of the first forms of life to appear on the planet.
The industrial archaeology is also of great interest, from the old railway leading to the loading facility at Cala Domestica, to the large excavation at Planu Sartu.
At Cala Domestica you will find the Oasi Beach kiosk, which offers: food service, transfer service by jeep or inflatable boat, and guided tours. Open daily until November 3rd, then only open on weekends.
