STAGE DESCRIPTION:
After visiting the caves and retracing your steps for about 500 m (above sea level), turn left onto the provincial road to take a dirt road that passes near small rural settlements, often single-family homes.
Initially, the dirt road passes the houses in the Genniomus area, then turns left to make a rapid up and down path and arrive at the farm called Cruccuruoni de Basciu.
From here the route continues its descent until reaching the inhabited centre of Is Cattas (09 m above sea level) and from here the dirt road climbs up meeting the SP 70 which you take by turning left.
Follow the SP 70 for approximately 2 km where you come across a crossroads where you take the right, after passing the Is Carillus village.
Taking the comfortable dirt road that heads west, you begin to climb, first arriving at the Masoni de Susu farm and then arriving at the highest point of the stage near Masoni de Monti (347 m above sea level).
Once you reach the Giants' Tomb of S'Arcu'e su Re, on private land, you descend towards the Nuraghe de Frois and shortly after you reach the abandoned village of Su Rai.
Once past the desolate village and across the small bridge over the Riu Piscinas, continue along a dirt road to approach the town of Piscinas from the south and, passing near the Corongiu Logus nuraghe first and close to the Cungiau de sa Tutti necropolis, you enter the town of Piscinas from the west.
