Discover the Is Zuddas Caves in south-western Sardinia, an underground setting sculpted by the relentless action of water. Accompanied by a guide, you will enter an active cave set in the oldest carbonate rocks in Italy, among stalactites, stalagmites, flowstones, soda straws and rare aragonite helictites.
From the ticket office and car park you will climb a 100-metre staircase to the cave entrance. The tour start time refers to the cave entrance, so we recommend arriving 15 minutes early. Once you step inside, you will be met by a constant microclimate, with a temperature of 16 °C and humidity close to 100%.
The guided tour follows a route of about 500 metres and lasts around one hour. You will pass through five chambers, each different from the others in shape and type of formations, in a crescendo of natural beauty. The route culminates in the chamber of the aragonite helictites, found here in a concentration unmatched anywhere in Italy.
At the end of the tour you can stop at the refreshment area, with a bar and a traditional Sardinian trattoria.
