In the heart of Carbonia, Grotta dei Fiori is a 12-hectare oasis nestled in the Rio Cannas valley, where history and nature intertwine. The park is home to around 50 caves — including the striking Grotta della Madonna del Coraggio — and traces of mining archaeology, such as barite quarries and kilns.
Between hiking trails, guided caving excursions and a small farm with donkeys, ponies and Sardinian goats, the site welcomes visitors with hammocks, a bocce court and unique views over the valley. Perfect for a stop along the way, it offers picnic areas with tables, chairs and gazebos, a large masonry barbecue, restrooms and water.
The park is designed to be accessible to all: the ground is flat, and the main areas (car park, farm and picnic tables) are easy to reach even for people with disabilities, while for cave excursions the most suitable route is worked out together with visitors.
Lovingly run by a volunteer association, the park is open 24 hours a day on a free-donation basis, for tourists, pilgrims and groups alike.

- The set fee is purely indicative: Access to the site is based on a voluntary and optional donation. The contribution is entirely devoted to the care and maintenance of the park and to the purchase of food for the animals inhabiting the area.
