“Sa domu de su poeta”, in Campidanese Sardinian language “The poet's house”, was born in the house where Salvator Angelo Spano was born and lived, a respected politician, poet, and playwright in the Sardinian language, as well as a deacon of the Catholic Church. Located in the historic center along via Garibaldi, the house retains an atmosphere of calm and sobriety, ideal for experiencing authentic relaxation. You will be welcomed by Giovanni and Daniela, always attentive to making your stay pleasant and carefully curated in every detail.
The facility also offers a wellness path with a Finnish bio-sauna equipped with chromotherapy and aromatherapy, available on request with a dedicated ticket. Guests can also relax while enjoying a selection of infusions, herbal teas, and teas.
One of the most precious elements of the house is the library, which houses about 6500 volumes dedicated to the language, history, and culture of Sardinia, as well as important works of Italian and international literature and essays. Some of the books belonged to Salvator Angelo Spano himself, while others were made available by Giovanni and Daniela. Guests interested in studying the figure of the poet can also consult, upon request, the archive and original documents that belonged to him. Access to the library is free and regulated.
The facility is located along via Garibaldi, the main axis of the historic district of Lacuneddas, in the upper part of the town, where the sounds and rhythms of tradition can still be felt: the rustling of pines moved by the wind, the singing of cicadas, and the ancient processions of the “Festa Manna” dedicated to San Sisinnio. Along this road also passes the Santa Barbara Mining Path.
